Pregnancy Resources

Here are some of the pregnancy resources that I have been using and that I really enjoy:

Apps
Baby Bump App--this app is awesome, and it is definitely my favorite.  It gives you daily tips and weekly updates of what is going on with you, your body, and your baby.  It also gives you a place to store all of your bump photos in one place.  It is a quick read that you can check before you get out of bed in the morning.

Baby Center Pregnancy App--This app combines a checklist and helpful advice to give you daily suggestions.  I enjoy having something to work on during the day and then check off my list.

Websites
BabyCenter.com has been really helpful for all the little questions and concerns.  They hve forums where other people can comment on their experiences but they also have "Expert Answers" from doctors.  They also have a lot of helpful articles for how to pick out certain things on your registry.

The Bump has a great checklist that goes week to week and also just tons of great tips and articles.  They also have an option for you to make a baby website.  This has been great for us because we have all of our family in different states, so this helps them keep up with the progress.

Books

What to Expect when Your Wife is Expanding (Thomas Hill) has been a great resource for my husband.  I bought it for him when I found out I was pregnant.  It has real information in it but it is also funny.  It is good because it keeps him in the loop but it also alleviates some anxiety by giving him things to laugh at.

The Pregnancy Companion: A Faith Filled Guide to Your Journey to Motherhood (Jessica Wolstenholm and Dr. Heather Rupe) has been really great for me.  These two women partnered to write this book.  It goes month to month and gives you the medical information you need to know, but also the scripture and faith encouragement that you need to grow and strengthen yourself during the pregnancy.  It has been a great asset for me.

Heading Home with your Newborn: From Birth to Reality (Laura Jana and Jennifer Shu)  This is the best parenting book that I have read.  I highly recommend it to anyone who is pregnant or recently gave birth.  There is so much helpful information in this book!

Friends, Family, and Moms are also one of the best possible resources to have.  If you are pregnant, find some moms to go to when you have questions.  This has been especially helpful for me, being far away from my family.
